How is the Abstract used?

Enter a summary of the article in the abstract. The abstract displays in search results and articles lists to help readers determine if the articles is relevant to their needs. Do not use wiki markup or HTML markup in the abstract.

If you do not enter an abstract, the wiki automatically uses the first 300 characters of the article as the abstract, uncluding text inside markup, such as subheads, code or table contents.
